LAURIE NIGHT A HUGE SUCCESS
Irvine, CA
December 10th brought Rob Laurie night as the Anaheim Bullfrogs in conjunction with MLRH retired number one next to original teammate Joe Cook.
Laurie, who won three world championships with the Bullfrogs, was in great spirits for the ceremony which had special guests, Bob Elder, Chairman emeritus of the Anaheim Bullfrogs and Mike Urbano, current Bullfrogs goaltender. In a fitting gesture, Urbano gave Laurie his number "1" jersey and will wear number 30 for the season, so that Laurie's number could be retired. Elder, who spoke fondly about Laurie,
had nothing but adulation and great stories to tell, even when prompted stated he may "write" a book on his experiences and sell it to give fans a clue as to some of the momentous history with the Anaheim Bullfrogs. RHTV saw it's highest viewership yet as over 800 independent households turned in from 6:00pm - 6:45pm during the Rob Laurie ceremony.
In MLRH action, the ever impressive and powerful Mission Axiom went undefeated once again with the game of the day played against the Arizona Arsenal. The Arsenal would jump out to a 2 - 0 lead by Cody Clark and Khelil Beidoun. Mission would answer back with two goals in a 1:24 as both Tom Tyler and Dustin Nowick would even things up. However, it would be "Reg Dunlop" Jamie Cooke who would snap the game winner over Eric Hernandez's shoulder on a perfectly placed shot to win the game for the Axiom 3 -2 and keep the streak alive. Goaltender Eric Hernandez played a very impressive game for the Arsenal who continue to get better and better each week they play.

Anaheim Bullfrogs 8, Arizona Arsenal 4
The Bullfrogs who would go 2 - 1 on the day had some heroics by Joey Laricchia who would score four goals in the game to the delight of his personal booster club. Arizona feeling the fatigue of the Mission Axiom battle, put up a valiant effort but came up short, as goaltender Cody O'Reilly was pulled after three goals for Eric Hernandez. While Arizona would pull up and work hard to make it 4 - 3, the Bullfrogs would erupt for three unanswered goals and on their way to the final score of 8 - 4.
